I am a Ph.D. candidate working with Dr. Ingo Schlupp at the University of Oklahoma. I am interested in how and why mating preferences evolve under various social and ecological contexts. In addition to my research, I instruct Introductory Biology labs at OU. I am also active in a number of student organizations focused on promoting diversity and inclusion in higher education. After, I complete my dissertation I would like to pursue a career in science policy or academia.

Here are the talented undergraduate students I have the pleasure of mentoring. I am always looking for more dedicated students, curious about behavioral research

Margaret is a senior majoring in Letters at OU. She currently is investigating female guppy mate preference for supernormal stimuli. She is planning to attend medical school upon graduation.
