TEACHING AND BROADER IMPACTS
As an avid learner, spreading knowledge and encouraging inclusion are my primary goals.
I have developed a question-based teaching style to facilitate student learning. Presently, I teach BIOL 1134: Ecology, Evolution, and Diversity. I have also taught BIOL 1124: Introduction to Zoology and BIOL 1005: Concepts of Biology. I also mentor undergraduate researchers within the Schlupp Lab
S.T.E.M. INCLUSION COUNCIL (S.I.C!)
To increase inclusion and representation in the STEM fields I, and other graduate students founded S.I.C! at OU. Through, S.I.C! we unite underrepresented graduate students with a support network of peoples who share non-traditional educational experiences. As well as assist OU S.T.E.M.departments in making more inclusive environments.
BioReach is an outreach focused graduate student organization, at the University of Oklahoma. Together with other up and coming biologists, we work to increase scientific literacy and comprehension for non-scientist in the greater Oklahoma City community.
